Circle the Day helps a group of family members or friends find a day and time that works for everyone. This policy describes what information the app handles and how.
What we collect
Only what scheduling needs: the event name and details entered by the organizer; the first names of invited people; their phone numbers (if the organizer provides them, used to share invite links and send event notifications); an optional email address (if a participant provides one, used for event reminders); and each participant's availability answers.
How we use it
Solely to run the event being planned: sharing personal invite links, calculating the times everyone can attend, announcing the chosen time, and sending a reminder the day before the event. We do not sell or share this information with anyone, use it for advertising, or contact participants about anything other than the event they were invited to.
Text messages
Text messages use double opt-in: when an event organizer adds a phone number, that number receives a single confirmation message and event texts are sent only if the recipient personally replies YES. Message volume is low — up to 4 messages per event: an invite link, one nudge if you haven't answered after a day, a confirmation when the event time is chosen, and a single reminder the day before. SMS opt-in and phone numbers collected for SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data retention and deletion
Event data is kept so participants can view the event page. When an organizer deletes an event, all of its participant information is deleted with it. To request deletion of your information, ask your event organizer to remove you, or contact us at the address below.
